1. You hereby expressly give the Company permission to collect and process any of your personal information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act (No. 4 of 2013) (“POPI”) as well as the Promotion of Access to Information Act (No. 2 of 2000) (“PAIA”) and the associated regulations and this can be done –
    1. for any legitimate purposes connected with your application, including but not limited to maintaining personal contact details, to comply with applicable legislation, security and access control and the like;
    2. in order to protect the Company’s legitimate interests in respect of credit-related matters and other work scope related matters;
    3. in order to perform obligations under law or contract, to protect your legitimate interests or to pursue the legitimate interests of the Company or of a third party to whom the information is supplied.
  2. For purposes of this agreement, “processing” refers to processing as defined in the POPI Act and includes but is not limited to collecting, receiving, recording, organising, collating, storing, updating, retrieving, altering, using, disseminating, distributing, merging, linking, blocking, degrading, erasing or destroying of any personal information.
  3. You similarly consent to the processing, analysing and assessment of your personal information by any third party, whether based in South Africa or in other jurisdictions.
  4. Any personal information will only be used by any such third parties in accordance with the instructions of the Company.
  5. You warrant that any and all personal information provided by you to the Company shall at all times be true and correct and that the provision of inaccurate and/or misleading personal information shall constitute serious breach and may result in liabilities that the Company could recover by legal means.
  6. The processing of personal information by the Company shall further be subject to any applicable policy regulating this in place at the Company and as amended from time to time in the sole discretion of the Company.
  7. In the event that you require our services in respect of parties under your guardianship who are under the age of 18, you hereby provide permission to the Company to process the said minor’s information.”
