The Zijin Mining Group is a sizeable multinational mining group dedicated to the exploration and development of gold, copper, and other mineral resources globally, and covers refining, processing, trading, and other businesses to an optimal extent.

The Company owns significant mining investment projects in 12 countries globally and 14 provinces in the Peoples Republic of China, including large production mines such as the Fujian Zijinshan Gold and Copper Mine; the Heilongjiang Duobaoshan Copper Mine; the Porgera Gold Mine in Papua New Guinea, the Kolwezi Copper and Cobalt Mine in the DRC, the Bor Copper Mine in Serbia and the Buriticá Gold Mine in Colombia. The Zijin Mining Group owns 100% of Nkwe Platinum Limited since 2019. Nkwe Platinum Limited is the 74% undivided shareholder of the Mining Right in respect of the Zijin Garatau Platinum Mine.

Nkwe Platinum Limited has appointed South Africa Zijin Platinum (Pty) Ltd as its mining contractor for the Zijin Garatau Platinum Mine with effect from 1 November 2021.
